Waste incineration plant Indaver-Suez - Doel

Description

The project concerns the construction of the new waste incinerator that recuperates energy from the incineration of waste.
The complex consists of an unloading hall, a concrete waste bunker, a furnace building, a turbine building, various concrete ash bunkers and a building for the scrubber.
The concrete bunkers are 40 m high and were constructed using a slipform.
Various 40 m high steel structures were also installed to accommodate the different parts of the production process.
The capacity of the fluidised bed furnace is 430 000 tonnes/year. This makes it one of the largest on the European continent.

Willemen Bouw was established on 30 April 2025 through the merger of Willemen Construct, Cosimco, Franki Construct and Tools.
