IMEC Cleanroom - Heverlee

Description

Thanks to this state-of-the-art laboratory, Leuven-based nanotechnology company imec, together with its global partners, is able to carry out further research into new technologies to make microchips even more powerful, more efficient, smaller, and more energy-efficient. The cleanroom is equipped with the latest gadgets and a ‘waffle table’, so that vibrations are not possible. This is important because nanotechnology requires extreme precision. In addition, the cleanroom cannot contain any dust particles. That’s why there’s constant air circulation.

Willemen Bouw was established on 30 April 2025 through the merger of Willemen Construct, Cosimco, Franki Construct and Tools.
